A very early production Bentley R Type Continental which we sold in recent years following a long period of ownership in Switzerland. Once sold, the new owner instructed us to mechanically prepare the car for him, plus restore the coachwork. The original shell grey paintwork was removed, the body was restored and then the car was repainted in the new owner’s choice of Masons black. The original design of the front and rear bumpers were not as attractive as other examples, so we made a new set for the owner, from aluminium, in a style which he greatly preferred. The completed car was very well received and enjoyed on small UK tours by the owner and his family.
