A car that was purchased at auction by the present owner, it was in tired condition, so a partial restoration was requested, focusing on the areas that needed the most attention with our advice. In addition, we reviewed the existing air conditioning system and improved it to modern standards and retrofitted factory style power steering which really enhanced the driving experience for the owner. At the same time, we conducted a thorough review of the car’s mechanical and electrical aspects. We retained the original grey leather interior but improved this with some subtle works, adding period appearance seat belts. The largest visual improvement came with a sympathetic coachwork restoration, addressing the panel fit across the car, then repainting the car in Circassian blue, accented with a light grey hand applied coachline. The chrome was also removed, restored and re-plated to complete the works. The car was shown at the 2024 Bentley Drivers Club Concours where it won "Best in Class" honours, much to the owner’s delight following all the works he had instructed. A wonderful S1 Continental that now looks superb once again and drives beautifully.
